Does cleaning ever go out of fashion?

No! Cleaning is a great industry to get into because quite simply the need for it is constant. It is a fact of life that things get dirty and need cleaning. It doesn’t matter what you do that television will get dustier and dustier the longer you leave it.

So when anyone asks me did the recession affect the industry? Or, is the demand high for cleaning in my area? I always give the same answer. Does your TV get dusty if you don’t clean it?

Furthermore, whereas maybe 10/20 years ago having a cleaner was perhaps a luxury. Not so nowadays. Many people who come to our franchise network for a cleaning service describe it as something that they ‘need’. They don’t just ‘want’ it, They actually ‘need’ it.

It might be that they have a busy family life and so do not want to spend half of Saturday cleaning the house. It might be they are a busy professional working very long hours. It might be that they are elderly and can physically no longer do the chores they once did.

For all of these people cleaning is a need and a need that simply doesn’t just come and go. It is a constant need and therefore demand is always there. That makes it a great business to be involved in and why our cleaning franchise is as popular as ever.

Come and find out more about how you can make the most of the cleaning need in your area with a Diamond Home Support cleaning franchise.

A Cleaning Franchise Doesn’t Have to Cost the Earth!

Starting most businesses is expensive. Starting a franchise is no different.  However, the advantage with franchising is that you avoid all of the costly mistakes that you might otherwise make. It means you have access to ongoing development and support throughout the entire lifetime of your business.

At Diamond Home Support you get the opportunity to benefit from the ongoing development and support AND also a low initial cost. Currently at just £1,295+vat. That gives you the entire business and everything you need to get started – including a three month promotional period to help you get your first few clients on board.

What the Diamond Home Support cleaning franchise also does is provide you with a low cost monthly management fee model which means you get to keep more of what you earn each month. Our monthly fee is currently fixed at just £95+vat per month.

2014 A Year of Growth

2014 has started with good news about growth in the last quarter of 2013. The UK now looks as if it is firmly in recovery and as with any previous downturn this point in the economic cycle is a good one to start a new business as you will have a good economic climate in which to launch and grow.

However, there are sectors and businesses which are more resistant to recession and economic downturns. Cleaning is one such area. When clients come to us for a cleaning service they now invariably talk about it using the word ‘need’. So ‘I need a cleaner’ rather than ‘I want a cleaner’.

Having a domestic cleaner for many is now a necessity rather than a luxury. That is true of all client groups including professionals, families and in particular the elderly.

So yes by all means take advantage of the growing economy and seriously consider starting your new business now, but remember that another downturn will eventually come. That might be 5 years time or 10 years time. Choose a business sector that is resistant and you will no longer need to worry about the state of the economy.

If you are interested in starting your own cleaning business why not take a look at the cleaning franchise Diamond Home Support.

Low Risk Franchising

In the current economic climate, many people are looking for ways to earn their income in a different way. They want to take control of their own destiny by being their own boss, and by earning what they deserve. However, although the thought is good, the reality can be somewhat different. It’s hard work!

Starting out on your own is a daunting prospect. The research, legal work, design process, project planning and accounting are all things new business start-ups either forget or simply don’t spend enough time on in the early stages. Not getting any one of those areas right at the beginning can be the difference between success and failure. But there is a way to ensure you get into business quickly and with all of those areas dealt with for you. That is franchising.

Franchising can help to smooth out the transition from employment to self-employment. With a franchise operator behind you the hard set-up work is pretty much all done for you. All of the research and lessons to be learnt have been done – which will save you months, if not years, and also a whole heap of money.

The other advantage with franchising is that you will always have someone to turn to when the going gets tough. Your franchisor and fellow franchisees will be a constant source of both information and inspiration. even if it’s just a 5 minute chat on the telephone to keep you motivated – that isn’t something you necessarily have available when you go it alone.

One particularly lucrative franchise sector is cleaning. Cleaning lends itself very well to franchising and there are many different options in the cleaning franchise sector.

If you are thinking about taking up a cleaning franchise, you want to opt for one that has a successful track record, but also one that is continuing to move with the times and develop the business further. A company that has achieved success in their own right will be able to provide the template to their success.

You also want one that will enable you to get started for less and won’t burden you with heavy financial commitments from day one. Many franchise operators will set a start-up fee so high that it makes the initial few years harder than they need to be and failure a greater prospect. By opting for a franchise with a low initial fee and low ongoing fees you greatly reduce the risk, and increase the opportunity to clean up!
